You got to be a trout fisherman to appreciate this place. We stayed in an RV that was pretty beat up but functional. The store was not well stocked and the restaurants menu was very brief and basic as was the bar but it was well stocked with not only alcohol but fishing paraphernalia. The attitude of the people was fantastic. Just being there in the wilderness on the lake and being treated that way was heartwarming. The fishing was not good.. pyramid lake fishing is hit and miss, they're either biting or they're not and it's hard to tell very far ahead of time what's going to happen. As the lady said that's why they call it fishing and not catching.
This place is always great! The lady who works the restaurant area is always so sweet! They have surprisingly great fish and chips, always perfectly crispy corndogs, and really great burgers! We love this little gem of a place. A nice weekend ride on the motorcycle from Reno, stop and eat some great food while looking at the lake. Cant say enough great things about this place.
This is the view from the front of the lodge… bar, food counter, little store with lots of fishing supplies and advice, souvenirs, and great service. The rooms are basic and of the kinda old fashioned fishing variety. I highly recommend the fish n chips, but the hamburger and hot wings were great too! The road down to the lake is just across the road and about 100 yards to the boat launch. They close up kinda early, so if you want food… plan on getting in there before 7! Full horseshoe bar, roaring fire, pool table, and Friday night karaoke! Friendly locals and good fish stories! The weather changes quickly, and any give day you can have hot sunny, cold snowy, and always plan on afternoon wind! Get up early for sunrise over the lake and plan on an awesome sunset!
The rooms are very basic but get the job done if you're there to fish. Friendly and accommodating staff. Would be 5 stars except the new ownership has made some price hikes. Additionally the bar is now closed (Tribe took all the liquor according to the staff) and the food at the counter is below average.
Comfortable accomodations, friendly staff, great fishing
The Lodge has a great location. This is a quiet place with a lovely setting. The staff is wonderful, the rooms was average but clean. The restaurant has turned into a 5 star experience. The breakfast is gourmet to say the least. One of the most creative and delicious breakfast I ever had. The Dinner was out of this world. You can not go wrong dinning here. You also get free canoe rentals which was great. We will return for sure next year.
This is a 5 star location. Autumn’s an amazing guide and her mother makes the most amazing lunch you will experience, delicious. The bar is a blast with karaoke and friendly, fun people. You also have to try their ribs out, yumm!
